You say abortion is homicide and that you can't understand why people can't see that but you have not clearly justified your point.

You have gone on to say that your parents wanted to make sure they set up a financially secure environment for their children before having them, which I agree is a very responsible plan and ideally one which everybody would want to follow before having children which brings me to my point.

If you read carefully through a lot of the posts on this forum then you would soon see that a common reason that women decide to go for an abortion is that they cannot provide that stable life for their child that you talk about. You love your family and by the sounds of it you have been very lucky in your upbringing and want the same for your children, which we all do.

Unfortunately mistakes happen, contraception fails, circumtances arise and some of us have found ourselves pregnant. I decided to have an abortion because I, like you, want the best for the children I will eventually have. But at the moment, I am at university studying with very little money and not at all ready to be a parent. Can't you see that this is just as cruel as aborting a fetus that is only milimetres big.

Don't get me wrong, I would never have considered this option had I been in an even slightly better position to raise a child, but I certainly don't want to be responsible for bringing a baby into the world that would constantly be wanting for everything but unable to have it. This decision was not easy but I am absolutely certain that it was right, and I hope you will consider that throwing around accusations such as 'abortion is homicide' without exploring and considering the true extent of this subject and the wealth of experiences and reasoning that surround it, is unhelpful and shows you to be rather ignorant.

I don't know who you were talking to but I agree with everything you said. I had mine when I was in college too and I couldn't possibly imagine having a child that I couldn't financially, emotionally or physically take care of.
