Carrie. I understand your side of this and agree with you. No woman ever WANTS to have an abortion, but sometimes it is necessary. I am not for or against it, but there are things I just don't understand.
I don't undertand how pro-lifers say it is homocide to kill a fetus, then we see them killing the doctors that provide the abortion service. This is the most hypocritical thing to me...respect life by killing? Does that make sense?
I don't understand how some women can use abortion as a form of birth control. My God, if you are going to have continuous sexual encounters, then for Heaven's sake, GET ON THE PILL, USE CONDOMS, or any other form of protection. There are many out there.
One thing that makes me sick is seeing people abuse, batter and even kill their children. We are seeing so much of this now. If these kids had not been born, they would not have been made to suffer the tortures they had to endure at the hands of parents that either did not want them in the first place, or could not cope with them. So which is worse? Seeing these kids were never born, or seeing them gazing with innocent eyes at the very person who is supposed to love and protect them, who then goes on to heinously take their lives? Casey Anthony comes to mind... Susan Smith.., there are many more.
This is a heated topic for all, but we have to understand it more before we take a side one way or another. Alot of things in this world are not right, but I know one thing for sure, the best way to prevent an abortion is to not get pregnant in the first place unless you ABSOLUTELY want that baby. And in this day and age of multiple forms of birth control, there are very few excuses to have to partake of a service that is so obviously heartwrenching for everyone involved.
God bless Carrie, I am sure you made the best choice for you at the time, and I commend you for having the courage to make that choice. I know it had to be hard.
