No medication is approved for home abortions. An abortion is a process in which the life of the fetus is terminated and the fetus is removed from the uterus. The abortion might be spontaneous or induced when the mother does not want to keep the child.
Surgical removal with suction-aspiration or vacuum abortion is most common in the first 12 weeks. From the 15th week until approximately the 26th, dilation and evacuation is used. It is highly recommended that every abortion method is performed by a gynecologist.
Abortion might cause serious complications. Certain of them might be even life-threatening if performed by the pregnant woman or a person that is not a medical professional. Various herbs and/or medications you might read or hear about might cause irreparable damage to you or to your baby if the abortion is unsuccessful. So, visiting your gynecologist to discuss which abortion method would be best for you is imperative.
