Alot of what I read on abortion and philosphy differ from alot of our views that we do have so far but I want to bring it to the next step.
In one particular article that I like he explains that their is three levels of debates on this subject, we are on the first if we can call it that/pre-first level of debate. Pro-choice debate is able to bring their debate to the third level and the pro-life side has made it into second level but much the less can't go any higher due to certain rights circumstances.
In philosophy religion is not on the same plain, we dont use other people views to make our decisions but our own free will/independent thought ( ex. religion.)
The main point was consciousness, the fetus is not at the same as a newborn nowhere near and therefore it came down to had the higher level of such and why person hood is granted a persons consciouness .
The article can be found at

I love how it was said though, religion should never be brought into a debate, what about the non-religious person, the atheist and the agnostic. It isn't in the article but in philosophy in general, philosphy considers religion on a different plain as it only believe knowledge come from god and not our inner selves as where wisdom is what we make of it.
Alot of us when we get into a heavy debate, we have a tendancy to talk about how the z/e/f shares charactheristics of a pararsite, although some would say that we hate, we don't we just have a different level of views on this. To deny that it does its almost foolish but at the same time what cant be denied is the fact that it is a natural process but it can also be unnatural (Birth-control etc.)

A few questions, I am not against religion (im agnostic) but should religion really have any say on us?
Now I know a few of you on here are very respectful (even if you are religious) therefore I am not talking about the odd few good ones!
Their is religious organization that still want contraceptives banned, it is a christian organization called STOPP, they are also trying to rid school of sexual education and to have abstinence only programs.
Is it a really positive way to be promoting to bunch of rebellious teenagers that sex is not acceptable or to make one feel bad about their own body?
