I continue to get abnormal smear results. I have been treated twice and now tend to get slight abnormal changes and get called regularly for check ups. Is it common for the one person to have so many abnormal smear results? (even if they are not serious changes) Also does this affect your chances of childbirth in the future?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
It would help if you could tell what abnormal changes were found in the smears.
If there were abnormal smear results in the PAP smear, then it means that your cervical cells have undergone changes. The repeat examination and smears are done to see that any further change towards cancer is detected early and treatment given to you at the right time.
Discuss with your gynecologist about their plan of treatment and the need for regular follow-ups, it will put your mind to rest.
