For the past few months my period blood has been really dark in color. I am on birth control, and did not ever have this problem before I started taking it or for the first couple of months that I was on it. What could be the cause? Should I be concerned?

If i was on the patch birth control only for a month will there be posibilities that i wont get my period for the next month? i havent got it this month
