For the past six years i have experienced adnormal periods where by bleed for upto Three weeks with one week or 3 days gap, during the period i have pain in the stomach, back and legs.

I have been to my doctors who refered me to womens hospital who gave me MARINA coil after a short consultation, this was a very painful experience.
I have had it for approximatly 4 months now and my periods are still very irregular and painful but a little lighter then before.

I have also hair growing on my chin which started to appear about 12 months ago that i have waxed every two weeks.

the doctors have completed blood tests and everything has come back normal.

What could be the problem?
and how long will it take to have normal periods that last less then 3 months???

Please help

PCOS
My daughter, 19 yrs old, was experiencing this same thing. They recently, after several blood test, diagnosed her with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. A lot of cyst are growing on her ovaries. They put her on the pill. She had no periods, now she has tons. They had to do an ultrasound to find this. Suggest this to your doctor.... Good Luck
