Twice in last six months, almost immediately after eating stomach felt hard, nausea, not continuous sharp pain in abdomen, and bad ache in back starting below shoulder blades to small of back. Ache in back on scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being worst 8 and sharp pain in abdomen 7. Back ache subsided within 24hours and other symptoms slowed died off over period of 7 days.

Food poisoning ruled out because no vomiting or diarrhea. Not typical for gallstones as pain usually higher up in stomach or sternum and back pain on one side.

Anyone had similar and determined cause?

Have you had any weight loss with these symptoms? Since it only happened twice in 6 months, it doesn't sound like gastritis or an ulcer. Did certain foods seem to cause the problem?
