Vibration in Lower Abdomen
Healthy 59 year old male. I just started noticing this a few days ago. My research so far: I have seen comments that is muscle related, nerve related, parasites, inflammation of the myelin sheath around the muscles, etc. What I find common in the comments I've read is "lower abdomen" or groin, and often the left side. Dozens and dozens of comments, so it happens a lot. Have seen very little in terms of how resolve. I have seen the following seem to have effect for some people: Antibiotics (assumes it is an organism to be eliminated); chiropractic adjustment (muscle related); and diet changes, along with something like a colonic flush (again, potentially bacterial.) I don't know what the connection is to the groin (in my case), but women seem to experience in/around the uterus. Wish I had a more definitive answer as it can be distracting at times.

Abdominal vibration
Hi, this started yesterday for me. It's crazy! Dont know how
Some of you have gone for months with this. Have to see a
Doctor soon. I am an otherwise healthy female, age 42. I did have listeria
From cantelope last September, but have been 100% since mid-
October.
Any news from any previous posters?
Thanks - glad I am not alone with this.

This started for me about 2 weeks ago. I have no idea what it is; I honestly thought I was nuts. It feels exactly like a cellphone buzzing, though mine is in my vaginal area. I am nearly 48, female, & had a complete hysterectomy in December 2008. It doesn't hurt, but is extremely weird. My better half just looked at me when I started talking about this; I was extremely embarrassed.

Does anyone have any idea what the heck this is? Should I be making a doctor's appointment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't believe I found this forum! The "buzzing" in my lower abdomen--right side-- just started today. It's been It's the weirdest feeling ever and i'm not sure if I should seek medical help or not. My symptoms are identical to many others on this forum. I'm 53 years old, female, with no other health problems. Has anyone found out what this is?

Not so good vibrations
I see lots of postings about this, but no insights. I've been buzzing...that's the only way I can describe it...for a couple of months, on and off. I thought it was my insulin pump alarm at first, cause it feels much like an intense vibration, but no...... It's happening right now...so strange.

vibration in lower abdomen
Sorry, I don't have any answers either. I'm a 41 year old male with an arthritis condition, but otherwise healthy. The same vibrating sensation started in my lower right abdomen a few days ago. It feels like a weak cell phone vibration that lasts for about 1-2 seconds but repeats for long periods of time. It's been very distracting and although I am generally very reluctant to go to the Dr. if it continues I will need to make an appointment. Any update from someone who has seen a doctor is appreciated.

Hello,
Great to see that you are having the same problem. I am healthy 57 years old female. It all started with a severe back pain at my right kidney area. A few days later, this vibration feeling in my lower abdomen started. I had all necessary analysis including ultrasound, colonoscopy, endoscopy.. But no diagnosis yet apart from IBS. It seems I am having it more after a meal, when I have a stress. Any commonalities?

I am a 52 yr old female and I have had pelvic area vibrations for a few days. I had similar symptoms a few months ago...but now am having the vibrations daily and frequently.

A GP said he didn't find anything in a physical exam..ie no pain etc or swelling, but advised to get a pelvic/admominal ultrasound. He had never heard of the pelvic vibration..but was going to google it.

I also am being treated by a chiroprator for back pain and questioned him about the vibrations. He thinks it might be bowel related - and is recommending a pelvic ultrasound.

I will definatley post what transpires - I am so glad others have had the symptoms...as I thought is there a vibrator living in my body???

buzzing or vibrating abdomen & pelvis
My dear people with vibrating and buzziong sensations
in the abdomen, pelvis, or other parts of the body, it
is oyour nerves fluttering or buzzing along. Nothing is
wrong, they are just overactive (for no particular
reason) . After much research and years of this
problem I have made this discovery. Drs will not
recognize this problem, as they do not have much
experience in this odd situation. Don't worry, it
is OK just anoying. From your friend, Elaine

I started having these strange vibrations today, they come about every 10 minutes and last only about 10 seconds. I do have gall bladder issues and have survived Ovarian Cancer, thought i was losing my mind and i am glad that i'm not the only one! Will go to doctor and post results if any!

I'm a 45 year old fairly healthy, somewhat overweight female and I have been having vibrations in my abdominal/front vaginal area for quite a few months now. However they are getting much more frequent and longer now, I also felt it was my mobile phone in my hoodie front pocket initially. I however will not go to my Dr as I distrust conventional medicine. I intend to do a 10 day juice cleanse with colonics to see if that has any effect, glad to know I'm not alone.

Well, I've just started having these 'vibrations' as described here by lots of both men and women. The buzzing 'cellphone' analogy seems the the best description. It's very reassuring I'm neither mad nor about to fall off the perch, and that there are many others with the same thing going on. Isn't the net wonderful? I'm an overweight male of 61, diagnosed 2 yrs ago as a type 2 diabetic and on Metformin. It does make me a bit sick on the stomach sometimes, especially if I overeat, but that doesn't seem to coincide with the 'vibrations' which occur every few minutes for about 10 seconds day and night. I'm due a doctor's visit but from what I've read, I shouldn't expect much help from him. Just good to know I'm not alone.

I thought I am healthy til.....
I am 30 years old male,I never got sick in the last 10 years.I've been feeling this intestinal vibration since the beginning of 2012,and was hopping it will go away.
Sometime it feels like nidle, and gets worse when I am hungry.
I feel relieved after I read these posts, and now I know that I am not alone.
