Hi im a 31 year old male, over a year ago i started having pain in my abdomen just below my rib cage right side. It would get so i would have to lie flat on my back for an undetermined amount of time till the pain passed. Then a couple of weeks ago the pain didnt pass it got worse until my partner had to call an ambulance and the only relief was morphine. I spent a week in hospital and the doctors gave an ultrasound that ruled out gallstones and blood tests that ruled out hepititus. After a week i was discharged with pain killers and now have an mri scan booked for next week. However last night the pain returned and i was crying not just with the pain but with the memory of how bad the pain can be. Luckily after 5 hours it passed and all im left with now is a dull ache and throbbing where my liver lives. I guess im just worried and until my mri i keep thinking the worst... Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Thanks
Andy
