About 5 days after my last period I
started to experience right groin pain.
This pain was intermittent, and was
generally mild, varying from dull and achy
to burny. I would often feel it in my
inner thigh, and it seemed to bother me
more when I walked around a lot and at
night before I went to bed. On the fourth
day, it became much more pronounced in my
right groin, and i started to fear i had
appendicitis or something like that. On
the fifth day, however, I barely had any
symptoms. On the sixth day (today), the
pain was more diffuse, and i felt it on
and off in both the left and right groin,
as well as throughout my abdomen. It was
also generally pretty mild until the
evening when i started to feel some
cramping in my pelvis and abdomen. At that
time, I also felt something coming from my
vagina.. a pink discharge with one or two
spots of red. It did not smell badly or
anything. I urinated a few hours later,
and noticed there was still a little
there. I urinated again, just now, and
there was nothing. As of right now, I also
feel perfectly fine. Again though, this
pain has been intermittent the entire
week.
I have a doctor's appointment in two days,
but I was wondering if anyone had any
ideas as to what this could be.. I've had
no other symptoms really besides some
bloating and a little gas. I am on birth
control, so I really don't think I am
pregnant. I also think it is unlikely that
this is due to an STD, but I'm open to any
ideas.

Hi Sarah
I have only just joined this forum but
noticed your post.
I have been having identical symptoms to
you down to the finest detail you
described.
I have had an Ultrasound of my pelvis
internal and external and also my kidneys
but they found nothing at all and said I
may have a slight groin strain?? but now I
am having the pink/orange dishcarge as you
have.
Just wondered if your doctor managed to
give you an answer and how you are now?
Take Care

Suki -
My doctor also suggested it was due to
groin strain, and went on to say that
sometimes the uterus sits lower in the
abdomen, which can cause similar pain. The
pain went away within the following day or
two, and I ended up getting a second
period that month. While at the doctor, I
was also given a pregnancy test, which
came up negative, so the extra period
can't be explained by miscarriage or an
ectopic pregnancy. I am not sure that I
agree with my doctor. I think it had more
to do with hormonal fluctuation because of
the birth control that I was on, or
possibly there is still an underlying
cause that I haven't discovered yet. Since
then, I have had midcycle ovulation pain,
as well as mild bacterial vaginosis after
my period ends each month - two symptoms I
have never experienced in my life. To top
that off I've had mono for the past two
months.
I hope you have better luck figuring this
out than I did. Please let me know how
things turn out.

Thanks for the reply Sarah.
I too had to have a pregnancy test at the
doctors but that was negative as I too am
on Celeste Brith Control Pills, which I
changed to 6 months ago.
I have just had 2 bouts of thrush which I
don't usually suffer with but is not so
great.
I will let you know if I get any answers.
The pain in my low right hand side of my
pelvis has subsided hopefully the
pink/orange discharge will too as I'm fed
up of going to the doctors.
