Q: Abdominal pain before urination

For the past few weeks I've been experience discomfort and pain before I need to go to the bathroom. I often wake up in the middle of the night or early morning with a really bad stomach ache that persists until I manage to get to the bathroom to urinate. I've also noticed I have to make more frequent bathroom visits than I used to. This is getting to be really uncomfortable & painful at times, what could it be?

Same thing happened to me.

You should see a doctor immediately, when I had that problem it was a bladder infection that I let go unnoticed, it then spread in to my kidneys.

It's actually gone away these past few days, do you think I should still get it checked out?

Go to your doctor. The pain would also come and go with me. My advice is get yourself some cranberry juice, stay hydrated and go have the doctor check you out. Luckily all you'll have to do is pee in a cup, it doesn't hurt to make sure. Something like that you don't want to go untreated.
