Q: Abdominal pain and vomiting

I have chewed snuff for more than 22 years and somehow got into a bad habit
of swallowing the saliva. Coupled with stress and taking numerous prescription
pain killers in order to cope with the increasing pain and vomiting, I continue
to fear getting anything done about this health issue.

I have been vomiting off and on for approximately 4 years and live with acid
reflux disease for more than 10 years. I have all the symptoms of stomach cancer
and calculated a 69% chance of that risk and a 47% chance of having peptic ulcer
disease. I also have developed a large dent below my belly button within the last
3-4 years and think it might be due to a GI perforation. What does the dent mean?
And, what should I do if I do not believe in conventional treatments?
I do realize that snuff and pain killers can only worsen my symptoms, but it is
the only sanity I have when I am in such agony.

It sounds like you are aware of the situation, but yet something is holding you back from dealing with it.

What is the fear exactly? Is it of having to face the consequences, or of going without the comfort of an old "friend"?

Change is always scary. We all get stuck in some mechanical habbit, even if we are aware how detremental it is to your health. I'm currently smoking despite the clear indicators that i need to stop, so I can really understand where you are coming from.

Have you made attempts to stop the pills and chew before?

Whenever I've tried to stop, I started back up because some strong emotion came along that I just did not want to deal with.

As for my other bad habbits, I did not stop until the pain was great enough.

How do you think someone can help you?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

All the best
Daniel

I really do not believe in surgeries, especially the type
called Endoscopy. I do believe in medication, but not operations. Death does not frighten me, so I look forward to the out of body experience for I do believe in a higher power. Please understand that the things I have been through are hard to fathom and are the main reason for my abdominal condition. Stress, and supernatural fears are why I developed this tortured mind and body. Anxiety is the agitator of my abdominal wall which I believe led to a possible GI perforation.
I think I am ready to go when the time comes.
