For the past several weeks I have had nausea and abd. pain. The pain is above the umbilicus & left upper abd. It is not a sharp pain but rather a deep burning. It feels better after I eat something but then I have extreme bloating. The pain is worse when I am in a setting position. I have hx of diverticulosis but this pain is different and located in the upper abd. I have an appt. with doctor in another week. New to the area so it has taken time to get into see a doctor. Any ideas?
Thanks

Extremely eHealthy
An upper abdominal burning or hunger pain, one to three hours after meals and in the middle of the night, often promptly relieved by food, indicates pain due to peptic ulcer located at the first part of your intestine, known as duodenum (duodenal ulcer)
Abdominal bloating, fullness, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite and weight loss, are additional symptoms caused by duodenal ulcer.
