Hello, I'm a 27 year old lady with a history of irreglar cycle. I started my period @ age 14 and it's been irregular since then. I miss it sometimes for 3 - 4 months and when its comes it's a dark clot like old blood and just for 2days.

Please i need to know if this is a serious problem and if it'll affect my chances of getting pregnant.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Irregular periods suggest that you are having anovulatory cycles (menstrual cycles without periodic egg release from ovary) which can be a major cause for infertility. The underlying cause for your irregularity of periods needs to be established to be able to get your started on appropriate treatment to regulate your periods and increase your chances of pregnancy. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance.
Take care.
