Hello and thank you for posting your medical question on E health Forum.
The PCR -DNA test is a very accurate test for detecting HIV INFECTION. It detects the presence of the HIV DNA, in the blood. Hence its accuracy is 100%.
The PCR-DNA test gives a positive result within 10-14 days after exposure.
If the initial test is negative and you still have severe doubt regarding the timing of the test (if done much earlier), you can choose to repeat the test again after 14 days of exposure.
Once the repeat test is negative then you need not repeat any other tests in the future.
You might consider to consult your doctor for additional counselling.
I hope this helps.
