Q: A missing period and pregnancy
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 25th, 2008
Hello,

I was wondering if it appeared that I am pregnant. Surely you'll be unable to answer as "every woman is different". But I decided to ask anyway.
I have never kept track of my period or menstrual cycle, until my last cycle which has yet to end.
I got my last period May 21 2008 and it finished on May 28 2008. It is now June 25 2008 and still no period. It has been 36 days since the start of my last period, is my next period going to come???
I have been having unprotected sex for about 2.5 months now, and have noticed in the past few days more discharge than usual, and perhaps even a wee-bit globby. I've also had severe cramps the past two days, similar if not identical to pre-menstrual cramps, but usually I only have cramps one day before i get my period...?
I use to be tired all the time (due to stress) and now I feel like I've got astronomical amounts of caffine in my system (VERY hyper) which contradicts a pregnancy...
Pregnancy test was negative, i took it 4 days ago.

Every pregnancy is indicated by a missing period but not every missing period means that a woman is pregnant. That’s why we use a pregnancy test to check if a missing period is due to pregnancy or not.

In cases when the cycles/periods are irregular it is hard to say if a period is missed or only delayed.
A negative pregnancy test is proof that pregnancy is not the cause of your missed/delayed period.

I have an irregular period and i took yasmin for 6 months after marriage. i stopped them and tried to get pregnant but the result was negative. I had small bags around my ovary and i dont not know if they prevent pregnancy.

Last period was 11 May and now its 19 June and i didnt get my period yet.

How can i get pregnancy if i actually dont know when my period is?

Did you have sex in your fertile window time? The problem that I have ran into is this. My last period was around April 20-21 i had protected sex on the day before my period.4-5 days later positive test. How did it happen that fast? I know there was no tears in the condom at all.So say the pregnacy was already there. There was no ultrasound done but some kind of rod used. i am unsure what that is about. i have alot on this cause it dont add up to me.

I was on the shot and happy with it for 3 months. For the last month I have had lactating which I guess is normal for somebody who nursed 2 years ago? I talked to my doctor and they put me on the pill. My stomach is distended and hard. I have had all the normal signs of prenancy, but I have passed 6 pee tests in 3 months... I feel prego. what do I do?

my last period was on the 22nd of september ( 25 days ago ) and i got off my birth control on the 27th of september ( because my and my partner want to have a baby ) i bleed for two days after that, i was on birth control for a little but over two years. when i was on birth control my period came every 21 days and now its 4 days late, i took a home pregnancy test and it came out negative, so im just wondering what is going on with my body will my period come every 28 days? or was it supposed to come every 21 days like it was when i was on birth control, if i don't get my period in 3 or 4 days it will have been 31 days with no period, am i pregnant and testing to early? me and my partner have been having unprotected sex every day.
