I have not yet gotten the full results to my mole removal test... but I have legal access to my chart and read that one is a compound nevus mole. what does this mean? I will of course wait to hear full results from my doctor, but I would like to know more while I wait

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Compound nevus mole is a melanocytic mole and may be present congenitally or arise later. If it undergoes any change in the shape, size, symmetry, pigmentation then it requires an excision biopsy to rule out any changes. It is diffcult to comment without the biopsy result as it can be an atypical mole, granuloma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma etc.

If the nevus has not undergone any change then it can be left as such.Relax and if biopsy has been done then just wait for the results.

Take care!
