I had a miscarriage 11 weeks ago and had a regular period May 3, 2012. I have a normal 28 day cycle, never had irregular periods. I am now 4 days late and have taken 3 negative pregnancy tests. And last night I got a very faint positive line but took it this morning again and was negative. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant, is there a chance I could be pregnant and maybe its just to soon. No prior medical problems. 2 successful live births

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

If it was an early miscarriage, then usually the women ovulate as per their normal timing in the next cycle. Women have been known to fall pregnant in the next cycle. So yes, you can become pregnant two months after a miscarriage. If your periods are delayed, do take a pregnancy test and see (since you have already tested go for blood HCG estimation). Otherwise, periods can get delayed or become irregular for 2-3 months post miscarriage.

Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Hope this helps. Take care!
