Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events

October 6th, 2012 by Pamela Rivers

Confessions usually deals with Alzheimer’s, but for October which is Breast Cancer Awareness month I will show some love and shed some light on a few events and organizations that are all about BC awareness. Because whether it’s Alzheimer’s or Cancer, awareness is the first step in taking action.

There are many amazing organizations such as my fave, Boarding For Breast Cancer a foundation dedicated to providing education, prevention and support programs for young people and the action sports community at large. With many programs to their credit such as “Check One, Two” Campus Outreach, Skate-the-Lake, Shred the Love Fundraisers and the “It’s Personal Campaign”, their vision is inspiring a healthier, happier you with a board sports point of view.

Beats for Boobs is an all-volunteer organization that grants financial support to local breast cancer non-profits that provide direct services to people battling breast cancer and survivors, promote prevention or offer breast health education.

Beats for Boobs will host events in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. For event and ticket information click here.

Beauty Brunch for the Cause is World Yacht’s annual all pink event that supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

On Sunday, October 7th from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, on the World Yacht Princess at Pier 81 in NYC, attendees will be treated to beauty treatments, brunch and pink cocktails. Click here for more information.

BOWLING FOR BOOBIES is the signature trademarked event of Busted Foundation and it’s returning October 21st, from 5pm – 10 pm at Jillian’s on Universal City Walk, 1000 Universal Studios Blvd., Universal City, CA.

The Busted Foundation exists to aid those in medically related hardships through financial or educational assistance. To attend Bowling for Boobies go here.
