getting from class to class

part 4 in the series

I know of some people who struggle with speed of pushing their wheelchair so they would need to do one of two things to survive getting from class to class and at the same time hopefully avoid physical fatigue in the process.

  1. get some help in the form of a person to help in this regard this person would often double as an educational assistant
  2. get a motorized chair scooter etc this is obviously the more costly option but I have I discussed why in some cases especially at college or university

I know that I was keenly aware of my personal independence at the college level that I think I would have been slightly frustrated by having an educational assistant with me through out my day. Actually, that’s an interesting observation if I do say so myself: because up until college I relied on an educational assistant. But by the time I got to college I had figured out away that allowed me to be completely independent throughout any given school day.

What do you find to be the easiest way to move a long distance?
