Cooking From a Wheelchair

I know I have written about this here before but I still have no solution that works. I was talking to a friend; she is a mom and happens to be a chair user. Knowing that she sometimes is on her own with her child over meal times, I asked how she manages.

Her reply was someone has to find my child when my husband isnt home. I stand and cook the basics pasta you know simple things or take things out of the oven.

That is out of the question for me, so how do the rest of you chair users cook? Do you have support people or do you have an accessible kitchen?

Asking another w/c user about cooking she says "I stand and cook the basics pasta you know simple things or take things out of the oven."

Stating that�s out of the question for you and how do others handle it? It too is out of the question for me as I am non weight bearing. I have a galley kitchen which is a good arrangement if, and only if the space is wide enough. Mine isn't, even with a cut out below the sink, all my time is spent going in and out, I can carefully turn
