You must have control of the authorship of your own destiny. The pen that writes your life story must be held in your own hand. ~ Irene C. Kassorla

Presented by Gigis Playhouse Down Syndrome Awareness Centers, the i have a voice project provides a platform for individuals with Down syndrome to tell their stories, in their own words. It starts with The Traveling Gallery a collection of beautifully shot portraits of children and adults with Down syndrome (by renowned photographer Thomas Balsamo) that captures their wisdom, their strength, their very essence. It made its Chicago debut in April 2008.

But that is only where their stories begin

What is your story?
