Mood swings may be caused by hormonal fluctuations, drops in the level of blood sugar or even weather changes. There are various approaches to manage mood swings and some of these may work for you.
Regular Exercise
A regular exercise routine can keep your mood stable, due to the release of endorphins, which are mood boosters. Get at least three hours of exercise per week. Running or aerobics can be a great way to release endorphins, or switch up your routine by trying something like yoga or Zumba. Exercising with a friend can also help put you in a better mood.
Watch Your Diet
Nutritional and vitamin deficiencies may influence your mood, so make sure your diet is balanced. Eat four to six times per day to maintain your blood sugar at a constant level. Get a vitamin complex supplement if you suspect you may have any nutritional deficiencies.
Relax
Stress and negative thoughts can influence your mood, so make sure you relax during the day. Take at least five minutes of break per hour and breathe, walk around or think about a future vacation. You may also perform yoga relaxation techniques or perform activities that make you happy.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy can be helpful in certain cases, as aromas may boost your state of mind. Opt for soothing aromas such as lavender, jasmine or rose.
