Start a daily exercise routine, which you can do at home. If you want to lose a few pounds and tighten up your body, you'll need to start working out daily -- or at least adding in a few minutes of fitness throughout your day. Try climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator, or walking to your luncheon destination instead of driving.
In addition to fitting in some cardio like stair climbing or walking, you'll want to perform stretches and exercises that strengthen and tighten your abdominal region, your calves and your thighs. Consider a daily routine at home that consists of calf raises, leg extensions, lunges, crunches and planks. You can also work on tightening your arms with basic exercises such as push ups and bicep curls.
Exercise is only half of the formula for a trimmer, fitter body. You will also need to eat right. However, eating right doesn't involve starving yourself. Start by cutting out the sweets and soda or other unhealthy beverages. Eat everything else in moderation. Eat three well-balanced meals a day and always have a healthy snack on hand, such as fruit, veggies, yogurt, or low-calorie crackers, so that you're not tempted by chips or other fattening treats.
